About The Position

The Marketing / Proposal Strategist is responsible for leading proposal efforts in the southwest region, focusing on crafting proposals to win work for the company. This role involves collaborating with business development and project management leadership to create distinctive value propositions, coordinating communications and events, and managing the proposal development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign strongly preferred.
• Certified Proposal Management Professional (CF APMP) or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at an A/E firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal writing and development process alongside internal stakeholders and technical teams.
• Schedule and organize go/no-go meetings for reviewing decision for pursuits.
• Manage and lead proposal kickoff meetings, and the development of graphics and visuals.
• Develop proposal plan, draft storyboards, and initial proposal management plan.
• Assist technical and proposal teams by proofreading and editing proposal copy.
• Perform color reviews (pink team, red team, etc.) and adjust marketing materials based on feedback.
• Conduct post-submittal activities including interviews in the checkmate phase.
• Support the development of metrics related to project deliverables.
• Assist with the submittal for industry awards and publications.
• Attend professional associations, conferences, and build professional network.
