About The Position

Mark Thomas is hiring a Proposal Manager! This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced A/E/C professional to assist in leading the Mark Thomas proposal team in winning new projects for the company. The Proposal Manager will work within technical teams to position, write proposals, and develop Interview presentations for civil projects - developing winning approaches and targeted messaging that resonated with the client for each project.

Requirements

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, English, or possess equivalent work experience
  • 5-10+ years of progressive industry-specific marketing experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and MS Office Suite
  • Experience developing successful differentiation strategies
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage concurrent proposal and marketing activities
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong initiative
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong people skills to interact with all levels of technical staff, with the personality and skill set to direct others

Responsibilities

  • Leads capture planning meetings and monitors tactical action plans
  • Reviews RFQs/RFPs and develops detailed outlines and schedules in response to client requirements
  • Works with technical staff to Identify win themes and differentiators
  • Supervises proposal teams to develop targeted content for proposals
  • Researches and writes firm qualifications content, and interviews technical staff to draft project descriptions, staff bios, and non-technical approach content
  • Reviews and edits technical proposal content to ensure a uniform voice and inclusion of win themes and differences
  • Coordinates senior level reviews and quality checks
  • Cross checks proposal submittals with RFP requirements
  • Leads the development of interview presentations and associated graphics
  • Coaches technical teams through interview and Q&A prep
  • Maintains marketing information databases, to include updating resumes, project descriptions, etc.
