The Proposal Manager for GHD's Energy and Resource market is responsible for leading the development of high-impact, strategic proposals that secure new business and strengthen the organization's competitive position. This role requires technical knowledge and sector experience in Energy and Resources to interpret complex requirements and develop clear content that addresses client needs and highlights organizational capabilities. This position can be based across U.S. near any GHD office as we are a Hybrid Business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree
  • 5-7 years of experience leading the proposal process from prepositioning phases through interview and driving teams to develop compliant and competitive bids for an engineering, construction or professional services organization
  • Proficient in marketing techniques (layout, graphics, strategy-to-win)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop and InDesign

Responsibilities

  • Manage the proposal efforts for CRM clients throughout North America
  • Lead proposal strategy discussions and kick-off meetings for large pursuits and ensuring strategic win themes are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal
  • Drives development and leads proposal team (technical leader, marketing coordinator, graphics, etc.)
  • Lead capture and proposal teams through the creation and production process from start to finish
  • Collaborates with team in the development of various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and/or other Volumes as assigned
  • Facilitate production and delivery of finished product, while aligning with all RFP requirements
  • Leads and engages in project specific and client collection planning with the RBDLs and key Technical Leads
  • Engages in the interview process to meet all client needs and align proposal themes and messaging with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase
  • Attends interview preparation and practice sessions; supports the team with presentation skills and delivery
  • Attends client pre-proposal and debrief meetings; shares lessons learned and standard methodologies across teams
  • Mentors and engages Proposal Coordinators and Proposal Specialist during proposal development
  • Leads Graphic Design support during proposal and interview development
