About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Proposal Development Director for the Health Solutions Business Area, responsible for leading a team in the development and submission of high-quality proposals for federal and state acquisition efforts in the health IT industry. This role involves managing proposal resources, ensuring compliance, and enhancing win probability through strategic proposal development.

Requirements

• BA/BS plus 12 years of relevant experience or master's degree with 10 years of experience.
• Experience with proposal writing or management.
• Demonstrated experience with proposal management tools and formal proposal processes.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong English language skills.
• Experience in developing oral presentations and public speaking.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring writers.
• Familiarity with FAR based acquisition requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience outside of proposal management such as project or account management.
• Experience supporting health customers.
• Experience managing a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of writers and proposal managers in the development of proposals.
• Manage the proposal development process, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
• Work closely with senior leadership to plan resources for business development.
• Track proposal development status and provide surge support as needed.
• Develop proposal strategies to increase win probability.
• Communicate effectively with technical experts and proposal staff.
• Research and gather data for proposal content and maintain a searchable proposal resource library.
• Support the development of oral presentations and provide coaching to presenters.
• Interact with senior leadership and other functional teams throughout the proposal process.
