About The Position

As an emerging large business, TekSynap is seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Writer to support the development of compliant, detailed, accurate, compelling, and clear written proposals as an essential element of our strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of progressive experience in various areas of proposal support, including the development of compelling proposal content using AI tools, SME interviews, and research. The individual will demonstrate a background in project planning, organizing, and tasking; strong written and oral communication skills; and analytical skills. Experience in the conventional duties of proposal management (analyzing and writing RFI/RFP responses, managing schedules, etc.) is an advantage, though not required. This position requires operating at a strategic level with senior business leadership, coordinating the capture strategy with an RFI/RFP response. The Proposal Coordinator/Writer is a critical role at TekSynap, requiring strong time management skills. Proposal Coordinators/Writers are responsible for multiple projects at the same time and need to prioritize and coordinate activities based on importance, timelines, and other contributors’ schedules. Many RFI/RFPs include last-minute requirements, which may require off-hours work to meet established deadlines. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience managing proposals for Federal and/or DoD customers or five (5+) years of professional experience in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Communications, Writing, Information Technology, Government Contracting, Marketing, Management) with demonstrated ability to write and format professional communications

Nice To Haves

  • Foundation in Shipley Proposal Development and Business Development methodology preferred
  • Experience supporting proposal teams including with subcontractors preferred
  • Experience writing content in support of proposal development preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate proposal meetings and administrative tasks
  • Follow up on deliverables throughout the proposal process
  • Conduct proposal database and SharePoint management activities
  • Develop compliance matrices and conduct compliance checks
  • Lead Request for Information (RFI) responses
  • Manage data calls for proposal support
  • Develop templates and outlines
  • Support creation of standardized materials
  • Track opportunities in government solicitation sites
  • Provide copy editing, production support
  • Support content development as needed
