About The Position

The Proposal and Benefit Education Leader is responsible for the distribution of knowledge that flows through Sales, for Internal and External audiences. Individuals in this role will be responsible for coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from clients, prospects, and/ or other entities; this work is executed through close collaboration with Sales and all business areas in the organization. This representative will synthesize and communicate updates to the Sales Organization and will coordinate communications to the larger enterprise, as needed. The Proposal and Benefit Education Leader will collaborate with Sales Org. leaders to identify training needs/ opportunities; developing roadmaps for continual learning and skill assessment, then outlining a plan to execute identified priorities. This role is responsible for profiling differentiators and emerging forces in the market. This individual will work with Sales representatives to coordinate external education and/ or meeting support, particularly during Open Enrollment periods for clients. Additional related duties will be assigned as needed. Through close strategic collaboration with Sales personnel and leaders, oversees the successful and exceptional execution of RFP/ RFIs for clients, prospects, and consultants; delivering on all requested timelines while meeting/ exceeding all minimum specifications as defined in the given RFP/RFI. Maintains knowledge library (currently housed in Responsive) and recommends modifications & new uses of information within library. Ensures that all prepared content aligned with enterprise brand specifications, including (but not limited to) branded color pallet, font, iconography, organizational tone, etc. Maintains relationships representatives across the enterprise and collaborates for successful completion of highly complex RFPs, RFIs, and projects. Identifies and communicates market trends observed through Proposal/ Sales Comms activities; then, collaborates with Sales, Sales Enablement, Rev Ops, and Sales Leaders to develop any necessary action and communication plans stemming form synthesis of communicated trends. Prepares and executes Learning & Development curriculum through collaboration with Sales and enterprise Learning & Development representatives. Coordinates communication of updates, priorities, and miscellaneous pertinent information to Sales Org through variety of communication modalities including (but not limited to) Teams, email, recorded content, print material, in-person, etc. Coordinates external meeting support for services including presenting both in-person and virtual presentation content for benefit education during open enrollment as well as miscellaneous client/prospect engagements Other related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Related Discipline
  • 3 years of experience in a fast paced proposal environment, responding to RFx’s, insurance industry, marketing & communications, and/or related fields.
  • Working Knowledge of proposal automation software tools (such as: RFPIO)
  • Strong experience writing proposals and/ or strategically positioning and communicating information in written form, with the intent to persuade a target audience.
  • Proven ability to rapidly shift priorities in a dynamic, fast paced role—balancing active proposal development with travel across the metro area to deliver in person Benefit Education presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in successfully working on high-pressure deliverables with fluctuating priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to shortened timelines and coordinate new delivery targets to project collaborators.
  • Exemplary organizational skills, proven through successful work on multiple high-pressure projects with overlapping timelines.
  • Strong skill in collaboration and facilitation of work toward a mutual goal, with key stake holders across an organization.
  • Extensive experience presenting information to audiences of varying technical knowledge, in multiple communication modalities; including (but not limited to) in-person, virtual, and/ or recorded presentation formats.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of business hierarchy (from individual contributors to executives).
  • History of delivering training content to business professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing training curriculum (inclusive of assessments and training roadmaps) for diversely-skilled audiences.
  • History of working in Sales/ Sales Enablement roles.
  • Experience coordinating learning-centric events; accounting for appropriate location (room/technology, etc), time, and travel requirements.
  • Driven to seek out feedback for improvement.
  • Self-motivated; proactively develops business and technical knowledge quickly and embraces new opportunities to expand skill set.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in broad range of Sales Enablement tools; including (but not limited to) CRM, Learning Management Systems, FlippingBook, eLearnings, SharePoint, Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc).
