About The Position

You will be the Proposal Analyst for the Proposal Management team. Our team is responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates that enable winning proposals and drive profitable manufacturing decisions. What You Will Be Doing As the Proposal Analyst you will be responsible for estimating material costs and preparing comprehensive cost reports for customer proposals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Estimate material costs for manufacturing based on request‑for‑proposal (RFP) data. Analyze specifications, sketches, blueprints, and bills of material to calculate production costs. Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Develop and maintain cost models and historical cost databases. Prepare and present cost reports to management, contracts personnel, customers, and price auditors. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain Management or related discipline is desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in Materials Cost Estimating proposal process and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Materials Cost Estimating (MCE).
  • Experience with Request for Proposals (RFP), FAR, DOD environment or material estimating.
  • Familiar with the production process, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), SAP Procure to Pay (P2P), and Electronic Financial System (EFS).
  • Ability to function with a variety of inputs.
  • Ability to analyze an MCE BOM for estimating purposes.
