About The Position

Compiles material cost in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) requirements using supplier quotes, price agreements, price history, engineering estimates and applies appropriate analysis techniques to adjust for quantity and timeframe differences. The position requires interface with all functional groups (Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Finance and Sourcing) to fully understand ground rules as well as participate in management reviews, customer fact-finding, and government audits to support the basis of estimates. Candidate must be knowledgeable on bills of materials, indentured parts lists, material costing, sloping and escalating, and the DoD sourcing environment. Familiarity with P2P, and specifically the MCE module is a plus. Candidate must be largely self-sufficient in daily responsibilities and comfortable to work with multiple deadlines and changing needs while communicating professionally to Senior Managers. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college
  • Experience with material estimating techniques and have knowledge of the proposal process.
  • Strong Excel skills are a necessary strength as are analytical skills.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable on bills of materials, indentured parts lists, material costing, sloping and escalating, and the DoD sourcing environment.
  • Candidate must be largely self-sufficient in daily responsibilities and comfortable to work with multiple deadlines and changing needs while communicating professionally to Senior Managers.
  • Candidate must also be extremely detailed oriented, a good communicator and very well organized.

Nice To Haves

  • LMP2P experience a plus.
  • Sourcing, Finance or Operations knowledge/background are desired.
  • Knowledge of RMS estimating and pricing policies is also a plus.
