Job Summary This role leads the development of high‑quality proposal and presentation materials that support new business acquisition and client retention. The position owns complex RFPs, proposals, and questionnaires from start to finish—partnering cross‑functionally, guiding analysts, and serving as a subject‑matter expert to ensure deliverables are accurate, competitive, and aligned with business strategy. The work requires strong leadership, deep analytical ability, and the confidence to make autonomous decisions in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in voluntary insurance sales, service, implementation, or proposals required.
  • Proven expertise managing complex RFPs and serving as a subject‑matter expert in presales/proposal environments.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical‑thinking skills, including autonomous decision‑making with business impact.
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.
  • Adaptability: Sees possibilities in changing circumstances, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, and remains effective in fast‑paced environments.
  • Collaboration: Builds strong relationships, shares information openly, and works cooperatively across teams.
  • Decision Quality: Uses sound judgment, evaluates complex variables, and makes timely, well‑reasoned decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end RFP/Proposal/Questionnaire review process for complex, high‑priority opportunities.
  • Develop compliant, compelling proposal materials and final presentations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, underwriting, legal, and other SMEs to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Mentor Proposal Analysts, supporting onboarding, review, and feedback.
  • Analyze complex requests, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
