About The Position

The Proposal Analyst at Lockheed Martin is responsible for creating detailed material cost estimates to support proposals for the U.S. Army and Air Force. Requirements

• Understanding of bills of material structures and knowledge of the proposal process.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical skills.
• Excellent business acumen and ability to make business-based decisions.
• Experience in Material estimating, Finance, or Supply Chain with knowledge of DoD contracting.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with SAP and knowledge of RMS Estimating and Pricing policies.
• Background in Sourcing, Finance, or Operations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed material cost estimates using supplier quotes, price agreements, and historical data.
• Collaborate with estimators and work closely with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Sourcing.
• Support negotiations with the U.S. Government and participate in customer audits as a subject matter expert.
• Contribute to innovative process improvements and develop solutions to complex cost-estimating challenges.
