About The Position

The Property Watch role is focused on ensuring the security, maintenance, and overall well-being of the property. The primary purpose of this position is to monitor, and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage. This position is for overnights 6:30pm - 4:30am, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
  • Minimum 1-year prior experience in a similar position
  • Experience in operations in hospitality, private club, and property management; preferably in a luxury setting.
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and computer skills including the ability to understand other computer programs.
  • Possess a thorough understanding and utilize various Property Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Health Safety Standards, OSHA, Federal/State Law and any necessary safety precautions associated with work.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals and adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and oral instruction.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate standard and critical situations quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, willingness to make difficult or unpopular decisions when necessary and hold people accountable to policies, standards and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships and effectively communicate with other employees, guests and other business contacts.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, maintain good active listening skills and ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine patrols of the entire resort property, including guest areas, back-of-house spaces, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter zones
  • Monitor for safety hazards, maintenance concerns, unauthorized access, or suspicious activity.
  • Ensure buildings are secure, including checking doors, gates, lighting, and alarm systems as applicable.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards, property damage, water leaks, equipment malfunctions, environmental issues.
  • Document findings during each shift using logs, checklists, or digital reporting tools.
  • Respond appropriately to minor incidents and escalate urgent matters to management, maintenance, or emergency services.
  • Serve as a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized use of property.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures as trained (fire, weather events, medical situations).
  • Maintain a professional, calm, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Support opening or closing procedures when assigned.
  • Assist maintenance or housekeeping teams by reporting priority issues.
  • Monitor weather conditions that may impact the property (storms, flooding, high winds).
  • Perform light administrative tasks related to reporting and communication.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitor entrance and departure of visitors and assist Guests in regaining access/entry to the property and homes, as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance issues as needed.
  • Ensure Latitudes Bar beverage cabinets and doors are properly locked after closing.
  • Document Guests issues, equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, emergencies, incidents, maintenance or security needs, as well as summary of action taken.
  • Enforces Resort parking rules; ensures all authorized vehicles are properly issued parking passes and those passes are properly displayed.
  • Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed.
