The Auditor-Controller's Office is inviting applications for a motivated Property Tax Specialist to join their team and play a key role in promoting accountability and transparency in County government. This position offers an opportunity to advance your career and master the complexity of tax appointment and financial integrity. As part of the Auditor-Controller's Team, incumbents perform complex and difficult professional property tax and accounting functions, including the examination, analysis and verification of the property tax unit activities. The incumbent performs the full range of tax auditing functions, which require knowledge of public agency accounting principles and practices as well as specific principles and practices of property tax procedures and legal requirements of tax accounting. Supervision is provided by the Assistant Auditor-Controller. Responsibilities include technical supervision over staff assigned to the Property Tax Unit. The current recruitment is being conducted to fill one (1) full-time vacancy in the Auditor-Controller's Office. The eligibility list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra-help vacancies for up to one year.
