About The Position

The Property Preservation Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership of property inspection and preservation efforts. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable agencies, GSE, and company guidelines, overseeing vendor relationships, managing hazard claims, and maintaining strict adherence to deadlines. The ideal candidate will bring leadership expertise and a strong background in property preservation, especially FHA conveyance—and will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the department.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in property preservation, with deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong FHA conveyance experience.
  • The ability to manage high-volume workflows with a strong emphasis on timelines and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to create and enhance policies, procedures, and reporting structures.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • High degree of accountability and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage third-party vendors performing property inspections and preservation work.
  • Ensure compliance with all FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and company-specific guidelines.
  • Direct and manage the hazard claim process, including vendor coordination and timely resolution.
  • Monitor preservation timelines and ensure all regulatory deadlines and internal SLAs are met.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance policies, procedures, and reporting tools to improve departmental efficiency and performance.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on FHA conveyance requirements and ensure properties are conveyed timely and compliantly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Foreclosure and Claims to ensure seamless operations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimize preservation practices and vendor performance.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for team members and vendors.
