About The Position

The Property Manager position is a full-time, permanent role located in Portland, OR. The role includes an onsite apartment unit and offers a competitive pay of $40 per hour. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of apartment units, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors.

Requirements

  • Experience with HUD, HOME, State affordable housing programs, and tax credits.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance and upkeep requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing residents and staff.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with Yardi is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage staff effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and supervise team members.
  • Valid driver's license and required insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Interview potential residents to determine eligibility based on local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Coordinate resident community meetings and activities independently.
  • Collect rent and serve late notices as needed, or delegate these tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures for applicant certification and annual resident re-certification.
  • Oversee maintenance of property management software systems.
  • Review, analyze, and prepare weekly and monthly compliance reports.
  • Maintain resident, maintenance, and vendor filing systems, or delegate these tasks.
  • Keep inventory of office and maintenance supplies, or delegate this responsibility.
  • Supervise maintenance and office staff, contractors, and vendors, including approval of services and invoices.
  • Conduct and oversee annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and vendors, ensuring staff does the same.
  • Coordinate with onsite team and local service organizations to provide resident services.
  • Oversee and execute other projects as assigned.
