About The Position

The Internship Program at Harbor Group Management Company offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the real estate investment and property management industry. Running from June 3rd to August 9th, 2024, interns will live in a fully furnished apartment with all expenses covered and participate in various internship events. Interns will work closely with key roles such as Regional Manager and Property Manager, acquiring essential skills in leasing, customer service, and property management while contributing to significant projects.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a 4-year accredited Property Management/Real Estate or similar program.
• 1 year of customer service work experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to maintain professional dress and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leasing apartments, responding to inquiries, qualifying prospects, showing apartments, processing applications, and preparing move-in paperwork.
• Learn effective lead management and follow-up strategies to achieve financial goals using CRM tools.
• Assist with move-in inspections and review leasing paperwork with new residents.
• Create and implement lease renewal strategies, track expirations, and conduct resident interviews.
• Accurately enter resident data in MRI and comply with Fair Housing and Tax Compliance regulations.
• Inspect market readies and models, notifying service operations of deficiencies.
• Participate in property walks for curb appeal and overall appearance.
• Record and act on resident service requests, ensuring timely follow-up and excellent customer service.
• Answer phone calls with professional communication.
