Requirements

  • Experience in general maintenance, preferably in multifamily housing
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation
  • Valid driver's license that meets company insurability requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) certification required
  • OSHA 10 certification required
  • Ability to travel between assigned properties
  • Must provide basic hand tools (power drill, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches)
  • Regular lifting of 25 pounds; frequent lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in varied environments
  • Frequent work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to perform detailed maintenance tasks safely and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance across assigned residential properties
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins within established timelines
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Repair drywall, paint units, and replace fixtures or appliances as needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in clean working order
  • Coordinate with site staff and vendors to resolve maintenance issues
  • Assist with seasonal needs such as snow removal
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance coverage
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
  • Support inventory tracking and parts organization
  • Provide responsive, professional service to residents
