About The Position

The Multi-Family Property Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property. This includes cleaning common areas, vacant units, and assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure the property remains in excellent condition for residents and prospective tenants.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience, preferably in a multifamily residential setting.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Reliable transportation, ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Common Areas:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and other common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms, laundry rooms, and fitness centers.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and railings.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
  • Unit Turnover:
  • Clean vacant units to prepare them for new residents, including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms.
  • Ensure appliances, fixtures, and surfaces are spotless and in working condition.
  • Report any damages or maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
  • Waste Management:
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas and designated disposal sites.
  • Ensure trash chutes and bins are clean and properly maintained.
  • Outdoor Maintenance:
  • Sweep and clean walkways, entryways, and parking lots.
  • Pick up litter and ensure outdoor furniture and amenities are clean.
  • Inventory and Supplies:
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Request additional supplies as needed to ensure no interruptions in cleaning operations.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Address resident concerns and report them to the Property Manager.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all property management policies and procedures.
