About The Position

RHP Properties is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our Sterling Estates community located in Justice, Illinois. This full-time position involves performing general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, ensuring that both the homes and community areas are maintained in proper condition. The role requires executing assigned work orders efficiently and reporting the status to the Community Manager in a timely manner. A key aspect of this position is promoting goodwill by interacting courteously with residents, prospective residents, visitors, and other employees. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including maintaining the community grounds, which involves regular lawn care services such as treating for weeds, raking leaves, planting flowers and shrubs, spreading mulch, trimming hedges, and removing tree limbs as necessary. Additionally, the technician will be tasked with garbage removal from community grounds and common areas to maintain a clean and appealing environment. Seasonal duties include snow removal and advising the Community Manager about residents who do not properly dispose of their garbage. The role also includes performing regular inventories of maintenance and grounds equipment, maintaining the order and appearance of storage areas, and ensuring that all maintenance equipment is kept clean and in good working condition. Compliance with health and safety laws is crucial to reduce accidents and protect residents and team members. The technician will also participate in refurbishing community-owned homes and perform repairs on community water and sewer lines as needed. This position requires availability for on-call duties and the ability to perform various physical tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
