About The Position

The Property Disposal Specialist will manage the property disposal program at the Naval Research Laboratory, focusing on the control, documentation, and disposition of excess equipment and materials. This role involves developing strategies for maximizing the utilization of surplus materials and providing technical consultation for unusual disposal methods. The specialist will coordinate with various agencies to ensure cost-effective disposal solutions and oversee material pickup and delivery functions.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience in property disposal regulations and practices.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze and research information for decision-making.
