About The Position

This Property Control Staff Assistant will assist with property management, inventory control, and database maintenance for historic furniture and other assets. The position will also work be responsible for lost and found management, furniture moving, event setup, and general office duties. Additionally, the role requires flexibility to assist other departments within Support Services, including mail-room tasks, print shop work, and furniture renovation projects.

Requirements

  • Proficient in general office procedures including accurate data entry.
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management and project a positive image to outside vendors and visitors.
  • Must be well-organized and able to complete assigned duties efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to safely operate the Support Services truck on narrow mountain roads is beneficial. A current DOT physical card is required to operate truck.
  • Must be able to bend, push, pull and carry objects up to 75 pounds to vehicles and up and down stairs. Sustain physical labor for at least 8 hours will occur during project furniture moves.
  • Requires long hours in front of computer.
  • Must be able to be on feet for at least 8 hours during furniture inventory and property audits.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Maximo is beneficial.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Park and facilities is beneficial.
  • Thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Support Services Manager and Property Control Specialist with maintaining the historic furniture database. Assist with conducting bi-annual furniture audits.
  • Assist with the NPS Personal Property and NPS Minor Property audits as assigned.
  • Assist in data entry, storage control, item matching and preparing for mail items that are part of the Xanterra lost and found program.
  • Assist with furniture moving projects to help facilitate new furniture installs and Engineering contract work.
  • Assist Food and Beverage Conference Services with the set-up and breakdown of banquets and special functions as assigned.
  • Assist with general office duties including clerical and data entry tasks.
  • Will be expected at times to help other departments within Support Services. This includes Mail-room duties (courier routes and metering mail), Print Shop finish work, and Furniture Renovation projects.
