Brown & Brown is seeking a Property Casualty Sales Account Executive to join our growing team in Sarasota, FL. The Property Casualty Sales Account Executive is responsible for managing and renewing accounts in keeping with agency and individual goals. This role is responsible for management of house accounts, in some cases without the supervision or assistance of a Producer. Provides service in support of producer’s sales duties and builds relationship with producer’s clients. Identifies and solicits additional sales from various account rounding and referral sources. Carries the agency’s reputation and professional manner of conducting business into dealings with clients, agency personnel and companies represented.

Requirements

  • 2-20 License
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge and background.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills under stressful situations.
  • Strong team member who proactively assists members on the team.
  • Ability to maintain a professional manner at all times.
  • Advanced time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist producer in new production activities to meet or exceed production goals as jointly established with agency management.
  • Build pipeline of new business through cold calling, CRM utilization, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth.
  • Spend approximately 50-60% with customers and new business opportunities.
  • Provide customer relations with all levels of client’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
  • Renew existing business to meet or exceed production goals as jointly established with agency management.
  • Follow up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues.
  • Develop and expand coverage lines to existing accounts.
  • Obtain and follow up on information concerning underwriting, claims, and other areas as reasonably requested by agency management, customer service representatives or company representatives.
  • Maintain a current level of knowledge on forms and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars as well as maintains knowledge of industry trends and insurance marketplace changes to remain competitive for the agency within the industry.
  • Issue summaries of insurance.
  • Prepares accounts for marketing and markets accounts per instructions from Producer.
  • Prepares Proposals for new and renewal accounts.
  • Rates, quotes, and issues policies as required.
  • Enter policy detail on accounts not yet entered.
  • Analyzes loss runs and prepares Premium Loss.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
