About The Position

The Senior Property & Casualty Risk Engineer (Senior PCRE) plays a crucial role within the Risk Engineering department, providing valuable services to commercial insurance policyholders. This position focuses on understanding client operations, advising on best practices, identifying hazards, and recommending improvements to enhance safety and risk management. The Senior PCRE will conduct on-site visits and virtual assessments, collaborating with underwriting teams to ensure effective risk selection and client retention.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in risk engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate risks and provide actionable recommendations.

• Experience in commercial insurance underwriting or claims handling.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide an understanding of client operations to the underwriting team.
• Counsel clients on best practices related to employee safety, fleet, facility maintenance, business continuation, and product safety.
• Assist clients in identifying hazards within their facilities and provide recommendations for improved practices.
• Discuss and provide Chubb's risk engineering services to meet client needs and improve accounts' loss history.
• Conduct on-site visits and virtual assessments with existing and prospective customers.
• Complete comprehensive reports evaluating hazards and controls for adequate risk selection and pricing.
• Schedule client visits and virtual meetings, process client correspondence and inquiries, and follow up on recommendations.
• Coordinate with claims and underwriting partners to exceed service expectations and support satisfactory risk selection and client retention.
