Brown & Brown is seeking a Property Casualty Customer Service Assistant to join our growing team in Fenton, MI! Provides support to Commercial Lines Department by assisting with duties necessary to service commercial lines new and existing clients. The P&C Assistant will order Motor Vehicle Reports and process Image Right documents as well as handle daily preparation of Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance and Auto ID documents for all Commercial Lines clients. How You Will Contribute: Prepares and delivers Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance and Auto ID documents for all Commercial Lines clients. Handles daily servicing of accounts including processing endorsements, audits, and policy checking. Performs renewal procedures after the Account Manager has requested renewal coverage to be bound. Maintains current activity log and follows up on open tasks and activities. Assists in file cleanup and maintenance along with system maintenance. Accesses carrier websites to retrieve and process endorsements and audits. Remains current with industry standards, changes and trends. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in similar position (preferred)
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, AMS 360 and/or industry software experience work products with a client service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Must complete CL Training Program
  • Must be a Team Player
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline (preferred)
  • Property & Casualty license with the State of Michigan (or within 1 year)
  • Insurance Designation (ie CISR, CIC, ARM etc) (preferred)
