The Property Assistant provides a wide range of personal care and in-home support to assigned clients. This support generally entails assisting clients with their daily living activities, ranging from bathing and grooming to companionship to accompanying them on outings. The Property Assistant will work alongside other parsonage staff to maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment that promotes an excellent level of physical and mental well-being for clients. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Companionship, including activities, discussions, encouragement, reassurance, and redirection as needed. Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating. Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and administering medication. Ensuring the client's home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. Position may also be expected to assist with some light housework. Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks. Providing mobility assistance may be required. Transporting or escorting the client to various outings or appointments. Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs. Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency. Work in conjunction with KCM Security team to ensure safety of clients. Act as personal assistant. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
