About The Position

This position is a remote role based in Kentucky, specifically for the Claims Department. The ideal candidate will reside in Paducah, Murray, Mayfield, KY, or the surrounding area. The hiring manager will also consider candidates for Property Adjuster II, with the level of position offered based on the depth and breadth of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent required; or
• High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of ERIE sponsored formal education; or
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center Training required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of AIC 33 and AIC 35 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact Policyholders regarding property claims within level of authority.
• Conduct investigations, interviews insureds and witnesses, inspect damage and prepare estimates.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage of claims.
• Handle property claims within designated authority, setting and maintaining adequate reserves.
• Obtain and review reports, statements, records and related materials as required.
