RPM Living is actively seeking to welcome and develop new college graduates for its Property Accounting team. The Property Accounting Associate will provide accounting administrative support for a portfolio of properties, which includes tasks such as bank account reconciliations and report package assembly.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree from a College/University
  • Must be graduating in Spring 2026
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, including debits and credits, journal entries, and the accounting equation
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, including maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and managing financial records
  • Knowledge of Industry Specific Software such as Yardi
  • Skilled in organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with a high proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial records
  • Ability to accurately enter and manage financial data in accounting systems and spreadsheets

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework completed in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform bank account reconciliations regularly throughout the financial period to maintain an accurate daily cash balance
  • Assist the Property Accounting team in compiling monthly financial information in accordance with deadlines/requirements while adhering to accounting policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controls
  • Assist the Property Accounting team in preparing financial packages for multiple clients with different reporting requirements
  • Assist the Property Accounting team in reviewing the appropriate reporting and recording journal entries to maintain income and revenue in industry specific software
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with Property Accountants and above in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently to complete tasks
  • Utilize systems/tools to complete work in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
