We are seeking a Property Accountant in Lansing, MI who is detail-oriented, enjoys new challenges, and is self-motivated. Property Accountants are responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports for a portfolio of properties as well as posting journal entries, cash management, processing month end closing reports, external reporting and more. The ideal candidate is an organized problem solver who works well with a team. This position will have the potential, after training is completed, to share their work hours between the office and working remotely from home.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with financial accounting software
Strong accounting skills
Ability to communicate effectively with a customer service mindset
Prior general ledger experience
Ability to multitask
Strong analytical skills
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
