About The Position

Sandalwood Management, a dynamic property management firm is seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Property Accountant to join our fast-growing team. This position, reporting to the Accounting Manager, will oversee the AR & GL functions for a portfolio of multifamily properties.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
• 1 to 2 years of corporate accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multitask.
• Team-oriented attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a high volume fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with residential property management preferred.
• Experience with property management software applications, preferred (Yardi)

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of lease data and accounting data entered in YARDI (property management software)
• Review delinquency reports and work with managers to maximize collections.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Post month-end close journal entries
• Ensure company adherence to policies and procedures for consistent processing.
• Provide insight on property performance in month end reviews.
