As we continue to expand our footprint in the dynamic world of real estate, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Level Property Accountant to join our finance team. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of cash receipts, invoices, and payments. You will reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts for various entities, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Your role will also involve tracking expenditures and other costs in detail, conducting monthly accounting pre-reviews to ensure timely and accurate financials, and performing all property accounting procedures in accordance with company and department policies. You will create and process journal entries, including inter-company journal entries and reconciliations, and provide accounting services for over 25 entities. Cash management for all entities will also be a key part of your responsibilities. This position requires a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, with a degree in accounting greatly preferred. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate or property accounting, and familiarity with Yardi accounting software is preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft products, exceptional analytical abilities, and strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to continual process improvement.
