About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to
deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of
existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations
operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

As a Manufacturing Engineer this person will be supporting the technician team
by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition
non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in
specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Amazon Leo
hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in
supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification
test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
• Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner
• Support and manage daily production operations and eliminate blockers and/or part shortages
• Work with cross functional teams to solve production issues
• Provide design for manufacturability feedback and drive positive continuous change to hardware
• Work with process, quality, and design engineers to continuously improve manufacturing processes
