Prompt Engineer / Sr. Prompt Engineer

We're seeking a Prompt Engineer / Sr. Prompt Engineer to design, test, and optimize prompts to improve the performance and reliability of generative AI solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, and software engineers to build intelligent systems to deliver meaningful and accurate outputs for the business of insurance.
Requirements
- Experience working with large language models and prompt engineering techniques
- Experience with code languages such as Python, Go, Node, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Vertex AI, or Azure ML)
- Experience with Agentic Frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, Google ADK, or Agent Builder and supporting concepts such as Tools, MCP, and RAG
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing practices
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to think creatively and systematically to solve complex problems
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design, refine, and evaluate prompts, context, and system instructions for various product use cases
- Conduct experiments to assess model behavior, accuracy, and cost impact with new or existing prompts
- Monitor model outputs for bias, hallucination, and performance degradation
- Analyze and address technical problems related to prompt design and model interaction
- Identify and address blockers or dependencies impacting prompt effectiveness
- Document prompt designs, experiment results, and integration patterns to ensure alignment
- Continuously improve prompt engineering processes by adopting new techniques and technologies
- Apply and advocate for best practices in prompt engineering and information security
- Develop and maintain prompt libraries and internal documentation to enable scalability
