About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Prompt and Automation Engineer Lead to help shape our next-generation Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA). In this role, reporting to the Director Customer Experience Engineering, you'll construct dynamic JavaScript components and integrate them with advanced NLP, ML, as well as leverage prompt engineering techniques to deliver agentic, frictionless self-service capabilities. Your expertise in prompt engineering will be essential for designing, optimizing, and deploying automation agents that interact intelligently with consumers, enabling smarter, faster, and more personalized experiences at scale.

Requirements

  • You have demonstrated experience in prompt engineering for agentic automation and consumer self-service applications.
  • 3+ years of JavaScript experience required.
  • Experience with AWS technologies such as DynamoDB and Lambda.
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge of how to use GenAI in accelerating coding and testing (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, MS Copilot, or similar tool).
  • You will lead and inspire a team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • You will participation in an on-call rotation (required)

Responsibilities

  • Prompt Engineering: Design, implement, and refine prompts and conversational flows for agentic automation, ensuring high-quality consumer self-service experiences
  • JavaScript Development: Develop innovative, scalable components with JavaScript in a specialized scripting framework
  • Feature Implementation: Develop solutions to increase automation and create consumer self-service capabilities across Experian's contact center channels
  • GenAI Coding: Leverage Generative AI coding assistants to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity throughout the software lifecycle
  • Code Quality: Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for software development, including testing and documentation.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Performance Optimization: Regularly assess, monitor and optimize the performance of applications, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
  • Continuous Integration: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the software.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed features, configurations, and systems.
