Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Possess solid time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous heat tracing, power design, and/or field engineering experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design at the lowest overall cost and enhance product value to the customer by either Project, Product or Value Engineering.
• Provides engineering design and analysis within assigned project scope of work, including layouts, specification development, and engineering drawings.
• Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control for the engineering scope of work.
• Develops resolution of problems of limited scope following standard procedures.
• Uses advanced software such as NavisWorks, SmartPlant, AutoCAD and in-house programs TRACERLYNX and PROMAN to optimize design process.
• Performs various engineering and circuit design tasks within innovative paperless workflow process.
• Proactively establishes customer relationships at appropriate levels and manages client expectations relative to technical execution methodologies, scope, schedule, progress, and technical change management.
• Reviews inquiry documents to identify competitive advantages, ascertain risks, and ensure compliance with or clarified exceptions to customer bid requests and specification requirements.
• Creates cost estimates inclusive of materials and labor (direct & indirect).
• Participates in new business opportunity strategy development with Sales and Executive Management team.
• Participates in the development, review, and communication of proposals and estimates.
• Impacts work in own department and occasionally to other areas and functions.
• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
