Job Summary Ensures that the Major Projects Project Management organization develops, implements, and improves project engineering processes, procedures, and activities required to improve and sustain the safe and reliable operation of the power plants in accordance with the Long-Range Plan. Ensures the Project Management process is in accordance with the PMBOK and INPO standards. Job Description Key Accountabilities Implementing major modifications to the plant(s) that improve safety, improve plant operation/efficiency and resolve equipment reliability issues. Technical understanding of nuclear plant programs, processes and procedures. Clear and logical thinking in stressful situations involving complex technical problems; ability to manage a multi-discipline team of professionals; ability to advise, negotiate and resolve conflict; ability to effectively interface with peers; ability to interface with major contract organization to support both operating and outage activities. Ability to lead and motivate project managers. Foster an organizational culture that promotes the utilization of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Accountable to ensure all quality requirements for procurement, implementation and testing is performed in accordance with quality standards Accountable to ensure scope of the project is controlled and if scope changes are required and are well documented and approved Accountable for the capital and O&M project budgets; including providing routine status reports and forecast updates Providing management timely updates if any project is in jeopardy of not meeting safety, quality, scope, schedule or cost KPIs Accountable to manage a matrixed organization for site / contract engineering design and site maintenance / construction vendors during installation. Participates in INPO and industry project management forums. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred) or High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of Nuclear power plant Supervisory / Management experience
  • 3 to 5 years of Project Management experience
