About The Position

We're seeking an innovative Project Controls Manager to revolutionize how we design, construct, and maintain Amazon's corporate facilities worldwide. In this pivotal role, you'll develop organizational standards for Project controls that shape design & construction critical path across multiple countries, driving better project speeds via excellence and creating a standardized framework for all. Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic planning and hands-on implementation. You'll collaborate with design, preconstruction, and construction leaders across global regions, developing robust mechanisms to standardize & control project delivery. From analyzing complex project data to designing a single source of truth, you'll be the critical link ensuring consistency and quality in every workplace transformation. We are the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Workplace Design and Construction standards & excellence team - a globally diverse group dedicated to creating exceptional work environments by finding efficiency in end to end project management lifecycle. Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrated experience in project controls, standards development, and process improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field
  • Good understanding of Real Estate construction methodologies and industry best practices

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction or related field
  • International project management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of sustainable design and construction practices
  • Experience working in multinational, complex organizational environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project control framework for design and construction standards across global regions
  • Improve project speed to delivery by finding efficiencies, timely reporting of critical risks and thorough communication across D&C stakeholders.
  • Create performance measurement frameworks and key performance indicators for project consistency
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure successful project delivery from design inception through operational turnover
  • Analyze and improve existing tools, processes, and project management methodologies
  • Partner with leadership to drive strategic initiatives that enhance workplace design and construction excellence
  • Ability to travel within NAMER region as required with occasional global travel, approximately around 25%
