About The Position

This role directly supports safe, reliable operations by improving critical site utilities and infrastructure, reducing downtime risk, and ensuring projects are executed with strong safety, quality, and turnover discipline. It requires the ability to lead investment and expense projects that improve site reliability, capacity, and safety. The desired candidate will plan and execute projects from scope definition through commissioning and turnover, that impacts departmental operations. You will be coordinating with cross-functional partners and contractors to deliver results with minimal disruption to operations. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Facilities Maintenance and Project Management experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Facilities Maintenance and Project Management experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Define processes, IT tools, training, value stream, etc., by using the power of FLIGHT DECK.
  • Deliver projects end-to-end: Lead maintenance and infrastructure projects (capital and expense) from charter/scope through closeout and handoff.
  • A job at this level requires a people leader who can guide weekly reviews; maintain RAID/decision logs; provide clear stakeholder updates, escalations, and action tracking.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how your area is integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Execute safe work through coordinating contractor safety plans, permits, and LOTO; lead pre-job risk reviews and readiness checks.
  • Manage contractors and vendors, develop SOWs and bid packages; manage RFQs, milestones, field execution, change orders, and invoicing.
  • Run utility focused projects involving electrical, HVAC, Fuel and Compressed air systems.
  • Uses judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Ability to enter projects in FAMS.
  • Send information to sourcing buyers to initiate bidding processes.
  • Lead and manage KPI projects and report out project status.
