About The Position

The Projector Repair Technician at Panasonic North America is responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing projectors. This role involves disassembling and reassembling projector components, ensuring quality inspections, and maintaining accurate records of repairs and parts used.

Requirements

• AA/AS degree in electronics or equivalent experience in camera, TV, and/or small electronic devices repair
• Experience in troubleshooting and replacement/repair, down to the subassembly level
• Working knowledge of Windows
• Good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
• Effective written & oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to learn new applications and programs
• Must be able to lift and/or move projectors in cases weighing 20 to 70 lbs
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Must be able to accurately distinguish different color hues and shades of black & white

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose projector hardware failures
• Replace, adjust and/or repair faulty components
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with the assistance of information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams
• Perform data input of required material
• Perform work in a darkroom environment, distinguishing different color hues and shades of black and white for projector color adjustment
• Perform quality inspections on all completed processes
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
• Research and order parts required for individual repairs
• Provide feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions
• Miscellaneous daily tasks including shipping support and clean-up activities
• Other duties as assigned
