JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for functional technical leadership of engineering programs and projects.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Technology required.
  • 3 years minimum previous experience in consumer product engineering preferred.
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of difficult technical problems and projects.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Decisive and prone to action.
  • Quality and customer focused.

Nice To Haves

  • Pro-E experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design leading edge ORV products to help ensure increased profitability and market share.
  • Generate innovative design concepts that enable us to better satisfy customer expectation and develop new market niches.
  • Benchmark competitive design/processes/materials and function.
  • Utilize the Polaris product development process.
  • Plans, conducts and supervises technical assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results.
  • Establishes projected part and tool costs and monitors the costs throughout the project.
  • Coordinates development, layout, testing, drafting, and fabrication to ensure project objectives are met per schedule.
  • Participates in design reviews to ensure adequate input and involvement from all engineering and functional groups.
  • Analyzes field problems and recommends possible solutions.
  • Represents the company at engineering/legal standards conformance meetings; prepares record searches, depositions, site and vehicle examination reports.
  • Performs other miscellaneous project related assignments.
