About The Position

Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Technician to join our Survey Team in Washington Township, Michigan. As a Project Technician, you will service clients in a variety of project needs in and around Metro Detroit. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' experience. As a Project Technician you will be responsible for ordering utility records, importing topographic survey data, configuring plan sheets and preparing project plan sets which include site-plan layout, geometrics, grading, pavement design, soil erosion, utility design, traffic plans, details and specifications. Requirements

Valid driver license.
Minimum 5 years of relevant survey experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Technical skills with survey instruments and data collection software (Trimble, Leica, or similar)

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the team to determine and understand the Client's program and/or objectives.
Processing field data and preparing CAD drawings.
Requesting and managing utility records and incorporation them into project data.
Coordinating with project managers and field crews to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, easement documents, parcel reconfiguration documents and record drawings.
