About The Position

The Project Technician - Housekeeping plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the Regional West healthcare facility, directly contributing to patient safety. This position will move furniture, set-up conference areas, transport clean and soiled linen, and dispose of regulated waste. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams is essential to coordinate cleaning schedules and respond promptly to urgent sanitation needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services within a healthcare setting.
• Basic knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cleaning and housekeeping tasks in patient rooms, and common areas following strict infection control guidelines.
• Manage and execute project-based cleaning assignments, including deep cleaning and sanitation of specific areas as directed by supervisory staff.
• Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment to support ongoing operations.
• Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with teams to schedule cleaning activities that minimize disruption to patient care and facility operations.
