Project Technical Specialist - Bond (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
Implements the activities and functions of a designated project with specific knowledge in assigned functional area. This position ensures that the goals and objectives for the project are accomplished in accordance with program specifications. [“Project” refers to carrying out a specific service or specific activity within a department program or a district program.] The Bond Department oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of bonds with a commitment to excellence, accountability, transparency, customer service, and collaboration. Reporting to the Bond Program Manager, the Project Technical Specialist will play a vital role in entering requisitions in the financial system. Invoicing and managing projects from start to finish using project management tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in project related area AND One year of experience in project related area. OR Five years of experience in a project related area
- Word Processing/Database/Spreadsheet Program Knowledge
- Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of and experience using the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards
- Completion of one Project Management course
- Experience using project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
- Experience in creating agendas, minutes, and action items
