About The Position

Overview: This position leads and manages land surveying projects as well as the Land Survey staff. Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to various land surveying projects. Work closely with engineering staff and clients. Provide guidance and direction to the Survey Technicians. Manages and schedules individual projects. Performs or delegates tasks as assigned by the Survey Department Manager or Survey Project Manager. Performs calculations and prepares field packages. Processes acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and/or Metes and Bounds description. Responsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others. Resolves boundary line issues. Signs and seals completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyor’s reports.

Requirements

  • Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM or PLS).
  • 0-4 years as a PLS.
  • Must have experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, wetland surveys, final plat and as-built surveys, and construction staking.
  • Must have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project-related budget management and invoicing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to handle complex issues/problems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must have drafting experience and a team-oriented approach to helping complete final drafting products

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, is a plus.
