About The Position

Project Support Associate Job Description: Essential Responsibilities/Activities: Performs project tasks assigned by manufacturing engineers and project managers. Conducts checks on electrical fixtures, plumbing and other equipment and performs repairs or replaces faulty parts and/or adjusts settings to ensure proper functionality. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute projects. Operates hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments. Performs basic carpentry tasks, such as fabricating, repairing, adjusting, or installing shelves, racking and assembly process accessories. Assists in small-scale construction projects such as remodeling or renovations. Welds metal components together using appropriate method, ensuring strong and structurally sound joints. Inspects welded joints for defects and performs necessary repairs. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance with codes, standards, and regulations applicable to project and maintenance activities. Records and tracks project activities. Collaborates and communicates with leadership and other team members to report issues, coordinate tasks, and ensure effective workflow. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage, and equipment. Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and other handling equipment. Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Hands-on experience with all types of equipment controls and knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems required. Current material handling, Lock Out/Tag Out and lifting & rigging certifications. Essential Mental Functions: Basic pipefitting and welding knowledge. Reading comprehension skills and ability to read small print. Basic mathematical and calculations skills to meet technical specifications and measurements. Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills. Basic understanding of computers including Microsoft Office products. Communicate effectively and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask effectively. Essential Physical Functions: Ability to work in elevated work areas exceeding 3 feet. Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with extreme hot and cold temperatures, humidity, dirt, and loud noises. Stamina to handle extensive walking, pushing, pulling, and stooping. Exceptional hand eye coordination and extremity motor skills Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
