About The Position

Spurwink is hiring a hard-working candidate like you to become a Project Supervisor of the Clinical Consultation and Support Services (CCSS) program. This innovative program responds to the needs of Maine's Office of Children and Families Services (OCFS) staff by providing clinical consultation services, critical incident stress management interventions, and clinical trainings to OCFS staff. The program partners closely with OCFS to support child welfare staff to facilitate effective interventions for children and families. Project supervisor provides supervision to Clinical Consultants and program oversight. This position has a hybrid work model with a schedule of partial remote and office-based work.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited school and independently licensure in the state of Maine as an LCSW or LCPC.
  • Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
  • A minimum of (5) years of foster care, child welfare and/or mental health experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct weekly supervision to Clinical Consultants.
  • Assist as needed in Critical Incident and Stress Management (CISM) within required timelines to OCFS child welfare and intake staff and child welfare community providers including but not limited to debriefing, defusing, grief and loss and crisis management supports.
  • Attend to the vicarious trauma needs of clinical consultants by building strong team culture, promoting wellness, self-care, ensuring access to monthly vicarious trauma group and other supports as needed.
  • Maintain currency on clinical and child welfare national best practices and relevant topics to provide high quality training and consulting to OCFS staff and support the clinical consultants. Topics include but are not limited to Motivational Interviewing/Behavior Change, Effective Parenting, Substance Use disorders, and Trauma Informed practice and Resilience Building.
  • Recruit, hire, orient, and train Clinical Consultation program staff.
