Position Overview The Project Superintendent (PS) plays a key leadership role on the construction team, overseeing field operations and ensuring safe, high-quality HVAC installations on commercial projects. This role requires both technical expertise and people leadership — someone who can guide subcontractor crews, coordinate with project managers and general contractors, and maintain jobsite momentum. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of other experienced superintendents who value process, communication, and accountability while keeping a practical, hands-on approach to getting the job done right.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; trade school certifications or equivalent field experience.
Minimum 10 years of commercial installation HVAC experience .
Minimum of 3 years supervising commercial installation HVAC experience.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, and stand for extended periods.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and decision-making abilities.
Dependable, adaptable under pressure, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate on-site field operations for commercial HVAC projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Act as the liaison between the Project Manager and General Contractor , ensuring clear communication and efficient execution.
Organize expectations and workflow for subcontractors, confirm material readiness, and solve technical or logistical issues as they arise.
Provide leadership by example — supporting, instructing, and at times participating directly in installation activities to maintain project momentum.
Manage labor, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet project goals and schedules.
Enforce safety standards and proactively identify and address potential hazards.
Attend and participate in project meetings; report on progress, challenges, and key metrics.
Mentor and develop field staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Maintain consistent communication with the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
