We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee multi-family construction projects from start to finish in the Omaha, NE market. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for daily coordination and scheduling with all on-site teams. As a key member of the project team, you will ensure successful project delivery through strong leadership, clear communication, and effective collaboration. Teamwork is essential, and close coordination with the Project Manager will be critical to achieving project goals. Requirements

  • Proven experience as construction project superintendent.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards.
  • Completion of a 10-hour OSHA course as a minimum.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • Demonstrates exceptional character; consistently acting with integrity, humility, professionalism, and respect for others.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to promote a culture of safety on construction sites.

  • Multi-family experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for Haverkamp employees and overall construction teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage daily scheduling and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure deadlines align with the Master Schedule.
  • Review submittals from subcontractors and vendors; collaborate with the Project Manager on field measurements and coordination items.
  • Interpret drawings and submit RFIs for necessary clarifications to complete work accurately.
  • Verify quality standards using QC checklists.
  • Schedule, attend, and document all required inspections throughout the project.
  • Understand each trade’s contractual scope and ensure successful completion of all work.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, building departments, and third-party testing firms.
  • Maintain daily documentation and photo records of on-site progress.
  • Enforce health and safety standards and promptly report any issues.
