WCG Construction is growing—and we’re hiring a Project Superintendent! Ideally, you’ll have experience with tenant improvement in the food and beverage space. The right candidate possesses ground-up/core and shell/finishes and turnover expertise on projects valued between $10 and $40 million. As a Project Superintendent, you’ll lead the day-to-day field operations on construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and communication all align. You’ll be the face of WCG on the jobsite—overseeing trades, coordinating resources, and delivering results that exceed client expectations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of progressive construction experience OR 10+ years of progressive construction experience.
  • A strong safety and hazard-awareness focus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand the deal.
  • Familiarity with management and implementation of RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and other industry practices.
  • Hands-on knowledge of site work, structural systems, finishes, building exterior systems, layout, and the like.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and scheduling skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, and operate construction/office equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and manual dexterity.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in various site conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • ASTA or similar scheduling software familiarity/experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution – Oversee and manage daily on-site activities and risks. Manage trade coordination to ensure projects are safely completed on-time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards (35%)
  • Contract & Scope Management – Interpret drawings, specs, and workflows (20%)
  • Safety Oversight – Enforce jobsite safety standards (20%)
  • Planning, Scheduling, Reporting, & Communicating – Document field activity and escalate as needed (15%)
  • Team Development – Coordinates activities and project needs with Project Manager and other stakeholders. Mentor and support junior field staff (5%)
  • Site Documentation – Prepare and submit reports, updates, daily logs, JSAs, Toolbox Talks, and the like (5%)
