About The Position

Located at the site, this role takes daily direction from the Site Manager and/or HSE Supervisor, supporting all Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives and personnel. It supports all HSE functions that directly impact training, report writing, quality control, plan development, and implementation. The position also supports health standards directed by regulatory agencies to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites. Under general direction, the incumbent is accountable for the HSE Administration duties supporting the site HSE Program, including the HSE Training Program. Skills required are typically acquired through various education venues specific to Business Administration, Record Keeping, Teaching/Instruction with General Knowledge of HSE Standards/Guidelines, and typically requires 5-7 years of job-related experience. The purpose of this assignment is to assist the Site Team with instilling and sustaining a ZERO Harm Culture. This includes working closely with and taking oversight direction from the B&R Site Manager and/or HSE Supervisor, supporting B&R Core Value/Competencies and Client Core Value/Competencies. The role maintains quality service values and customer satisfaction initiatives by supporting organization standards, reviews systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices for developing subject-related training modules, and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. It also involves creating and sustaining a personal safe work environment, supporting supervision, coaching, managing processes, process improvement, and dealing with complexity, and identifying opportunities for outstanding employee HSE performance to assist with appropriate employee recognition.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Skills typically acquired through the completion of various education venues specific to Business Administration, Record Keeping, Teaching/Instruction with General Knowledge of HSE Standards/Guidelines.
  • 5-7 years of job related experience.
  • 5-7 years of related HSE experience with achieved certifications/qualifications through educational institutions, technical programs, NCCER etc.
  • 3-5 years of experience direct teaching/instruction of employees within a class-room training environment supporting a fast-paced maintenance/construction type environment.
  • General computer skills (i.e. email, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint programs).
  • Good verbal communications skills, in class-room settings including phone, radio, and plant intercom systems, projector screen set-up/use.

Responsibilities

  • Take daily direction from the Site Manager and/or HSE Supervisor.
  • Support all Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives and personnel.
  • Support all HSE functions that directly impact training, report writing, quality control, plan development, and implementation.
  • Support health standards directed by regulatory agencies to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites.
  • Be accountable for the HSE Administration duties supporting the site HSE Program, including the HSE Training Program.
  • Develop HSE training subject modules and procedures accessing/using company training portals, client portals/share-drives, Government/State agency regulations/guidelines along with utilizing personal job-related experiences.
  • Present HSE related training materials to small groups through a class-room setting, including utilizing hands-on illustrations.
  • Plan & Schedule HSE training/meeting activities.

  • Work closely with and take oversight direction from the B&R Site Manager and/or HSE Supervisor supporting B&R Core Value/Competencies to include Client Core Value/Competencies.
  • Develop HSE training subject modules using references from company procedures/policies, client/owner procedures/policies, state/federal regulatory procedures, etc. to all levels of employees.
  • Deliver/Present HSE training subject modules from company procedures/policies, client/owner procedures/policies, state/federal regulatory procedures, etc. to all levels of employees.
  • Maintain/Monitor employee training matrix for all employee levels.
  • Coordinate/Schedule employee training sessions to ensure that training expirations are not exceeded.
  • Maintain company Incident Management System for site entries.
  • Participate in Gate Greet assignments.
  • Participate in daily end of shift employee safety huddles to ensure employees are fit and all work assignments have been completed as scheduled.
  • With guidance, may lead and plan employee participation in the B&R Site Monthly Mass Safety Meeting.
  • Participate in B&R Monthly RSLT Meeting (Conference call).
  • Participate in B&R Monthly Focus Meeting (Conference call).
  • Participate in B&R/Client Daily/Weekly safety audits observing work activity.
  • Maintain Weekly Safety Audit matrix (findings-corrective actions).
  • May participate in Daily/Weekly DuPont Capital Project/Maintenance planning/scheduling meetings.
  • Maintain quality service values and customer satisfaction initiatives by supporting organization standards.
  • Review systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices for developing subject related training modules.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Create and Sustain a Personal Safe Work Environment supporting, Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, and Dealing with complexity.
