About The Position

The Project Specialist will support the North Central CT Region’s programs and projects by ensuring a seamless, responsive, and proactive customer experience. This position will support and improve operations, data capture, customer flow and report writing, and general operating capabilities. The Project Specialist is responsible for collaborating with funders, stakeholders, and participants to understand the vision and objectives of JFES. This position will work directly with EDSI staff to support the goals of the JFES program.

Requirements

  • Direct experience with the JFES program in the North Central Region of CT required
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to gather and synthesize information from a wide variety of people and sources
  • Experience managing projects and driving change initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management science, organizational behavior, operations, statistics or similar field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with director, managerial staff, and contractor’s staff to ensure that customer flow, service delivery and data management are efficient and effective
  • Have detailed knowledge of the performance goals of the JFES program
  • Work directly with the Quality Assurance Team and Managers on any participant reporting, data tracking, ETO and CTHires modifications or corrections
  • Offer individual training and follow-up to staff to ensure corrections are understood and corrected moving forward
  • Remain current on industry information and regional job trends
  • Support the AJC JFES team with any special participant cases and situations
  • Step-in for leadership coverage and support as needed
  • Facilitate meetings regarding changes as needed
  • Assist in the design and launch of new projects or programs
  • Identify solutions to challenges and opportunities
  • Provide training, implement technology and process improvements with the team
  • Assist in the training of new staff members on all JFES processes and procedures
  • Work closely with Directors and Managers on regional needs and opportunities
  • Conduct project work in support of a variety of project types
  • Monitor and provide guidance for the execution JFES goals and objectives
