About The Position

Overview: The Project Specialist will provide administrative support within the Finance department, focusing on maintaining project details for billing purposes.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Accounting or 3 years of experience in accounting/billing processes with some college course work completed in accounting.
Basic knowledge of project structures and contracts.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to produce accurate and thorough work.
Ability to manage high volumes of work while meeting tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with employees at all levels.
Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed or requested.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

Update advanced billing terms as needed.
Run basic reports to extract pertinent project information.
Interact with administrative assistants to resolve basic project setup issues.
Inactivate or reactivate projects according to department procedures.
Proactively query data to ensure accuracy.
Process split proposals and revised ASR’s and proposals.
Apply critical thinking skills to the problem-solving process.
Maintain accurate records of project details and ensure correct data entry.
Uphold project management methods, standards, and procedures.
Manage project setup forms in Deltek Vantagepoint.
Work closely with stakeholders to track project updates.
Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and maintain all necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with administrative assistants and project managers to gather necessary project information.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that they stay on schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.
